What we process and why
- Enquiries and quotations: contact details, correspondence and vehicle information you choose to send, to answer your request and prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps requested before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to other relevant enquiries.
- Engaged services: identity and residence evidence, vehicle and ownership documents, technical information and case correspondence needed to perform the agreed service. Legal bases: contract performance and applicable legal obligations. We request only what the case requires.
- Security and administration: hosting systems may record connection data such as IP address and request time to operate and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interests in service availability and security.
The calculator
Calculations run in your browser. The calculator does not submit its fields to us automatically or ask you to upload identity documents. Clicking WhatsApp opens a prefilled message for you to review; you decide whether to send it. Public vehicle-data files are downloaded as required. Checked certificate examples are served from this website when selected. They are blank templates, clearly fictional specimens or technical examples without holder details. Following an official source link connects to that institution.
Recipients and service providers
Authorised staff and providers involved in hosting, communications and case administration may process data as needed. For an engaged service, necessary information may be provided to DGT, tax authorities, inspection stations and technical or administrative professionals involved in your case, in accordance with the agreed work and applicable law. We do not sell your personal data.
WhatsApp, maps and international processing
WhatsApp is an external Meta service and the contact page embeds Google Maps, which loads automatically when it comes into view. Their providers process connection and other data under their own policies. Their processing may involve countries outside the EEA and the transfer arrangements described by those providers. An external service’s policy does not replace the safeguards required for our own processing. You can contact us by email or phone instead and use the address without loading the map.

Retention
We retain enquiries for the time needed to respond and follow up the requested matter. Case, accounting and compliance records are retained for the periods required by applicable law. Where necessary, data is restricted or blocked for the limitation periods relevant to legal claims, then securely deleted. The applicable period depends on the record and purpose.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection where applicable by writing to info@registeryourcar.es or the registered office. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may request proportionate identity verification where needed. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
Other information
We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means through this calculator. The site is intended for people arranging vehicle services, not for collecting children’s data. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated electronic marketing without the applicable permission or legal basis. Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page.
